PM Fiber Amplifiers

QTekLaser™ fiber amplifiers boost narrow-linewidth (<20 kHz) single-frequency light to output powers from 0.5 W to 100 W. Yb-doped (1012–1080 nm), Er-doped (1530–1610 nm), and Tm-doped (1776–2040 nm) gain fibers cover the near-IR in a low-noise, SBS-free, all-fiber design with IoT control.

Single Frequency

QTekLaser amplifiers work with various kinds of seed lasers. They can be economic semiconductor diode lasers with MHz laser linewidth, robust fiber lasers with kHz linewidth, or cavity-locked ultra-stable lasers with Hz linewidth. Based on customer requirements, we can recommend the best options and integrate them into the laser system as illustrated in figure 1.

Specifications

specificationsClass 4 Laser

QTekLaser lasers comply with Federal Regulations (21 CFR Subchapter J, Part 1040)  as administered by the Center for Devices and Radiological Health and are certified to IEC 60825-1:2014 standards.

It is the end user's responsibility to ensure that no significant light is retroreflected back into QTekLaser systems as this can degrade performance and potentially damage the lasers. To prevent this, the use of an external optical isolator is strongly recommended.  Damage due to retroreflected light is not covered under warranty.
